Hi,
I have applied for Canadian PR (AINP) and would like to know after getting canadian PR,will it possible for H4 and H1 person to work for Canada based company by staying in US or not?
I think I am not impacting US labor or anything. I will be working for Canadian company from US. I will be getting Salary / Tax deduction in Canada.

The fact you work for a Canadian firm and you're a Canadian resident holder (or a Citizen) is irrelevant. As a full time employee in the United States, you require a work visa - and shall be subject to H1 or other work visa codes. I'm Canadian, and work for a Canadian firm's operations in the US. I require a TN or H1 work visa to work in the US. Hope that clarifies.

You are really lucky! I guess since my application was fresh I could not efile. Or I read many posts about how paper filing is way to go to get faster approvals. I think with USCIS everything seems unpredictable.
I am really hoping that mine comes soon.
I e-filed my AP application on Dec 29 at TSC and got the approval email yesterday ... Got approved in 2 weeks.

I am planning to attend an Visa interview, at present I am on H4 status.
My case is: Gor H4 in sept 2006 - April 2008, and got stamping
Later got H1 from Oct 2007 to oct 2010, and got stamping
Present Got H4 from sept 2009 to may 2011 and no stamping yet and hence planning to go for stamping
Question 1) But when I am selcting the appontment date it ask's for a question
" Are you applying for same visa class that expired in the last 12 months?" so In my case would it be yes or no?
2) Does H4 and H1 come under same Visa Class?

Is that all he said? I wonder why he did not say they should be screened for their skin color, their Shakespearean English and BTW all the applications of legal residents and naturalized Citizens here who are non Europeans ought to be revisited to ensure they fit the new criteria. Perhaps actually saying that would have been too politically incorrect.
This guy is unbelievably anti-immigrant. Even many anti-immigrants feel he is too far to their right on this issue. Him in the house and Sen. Jeff Sessions in the Senate cannot be changed. They are rather openly vile, vicious and virulent in their attack of any and all immigrants.............legal or illegal. That is why they are given so much airtime on CNN with Lou Dobbs.
The real irony of it all to me is that the ancestors of many of the Mexicans (albeit illegal) immigrants crossing the southern border are indigenous people of the Americas (the new world) like Mayans and Aztecs (atleast in part). I am on same boat. Mine and my wife case also transfered from Texas to Orlando,FL.My PD is EB2 sep06 and we filed 485 July2nd'07.140 approved in March07.
We never worked in FL state.
My case is tranfered on 8th April'08 and a LUD today(9th April 08).
Praveen , Same situation i guess. There was a LUD yesterday on both (me and my wife case).. No Idea what they are trying to do.

My employer has changed the conditions of my employment since we mutually agreed to start the greencard process (reduced benefits, increased my out-of-pocket expenses, did not give yearly increase and bonuses promised at the beginning of my employment). I am now unable to make ends meet with my current salary and there is no sign I will get an increase soon. Will this constitute as valid reason if I quit my job in, say, 1 month from receiving the greencard?
Also, the Senior position specified in the I-140 is not available right now. Do I have the right to claim it, now that the greencard had been approved? If they won't give it to me, will this be a valid reason to quit and not jeopardize my GC with the USCIS?
Please advise. Thank you!

Someone can shed light why these numbers would disappear before march and would not get rolled over to EB3 and EB2? What are the provisions?

The information quoted by morpheus is quite correct. you can attend board meetings as a director although honorory or because of your extensive shareholding. you cannot be a salaried, contracted or basically compensated director or board member. you cannot take salaries but can take dividends (profit). you can also apply for any licenses or authorizations required for the business in your name. just make sure you dont write anything off in your name to save the taxes on the dividends because that will show your active involvement (day to day) which you cannot have.
The board issue does get very confusing. For example, an H1 is invited to be on the advisory board of a company and they grant the H1 some stock options. They don't pay the board members honororia or anything else. Is the H1 holder violating his or her status? At which point - when they accept the options? Or when they sell the stock? What if they have a green card by the time they sell the stock? What if the stock if held in the H1 employers name? It gets very confusing and there are few guidelines.
The H1 law was never intended to cope with the complexities of modern business as I see it!
Does anyone know some good lawyer/CPA who can provide guidance on such matters.
Also what if indian citizen residing in india wants to sell online to US customers ?
You could try any of the well known immigration law firms - Murthy, Rajiv Khanna etc.
