First of all, you can go any consulate in india, which ever gives you earliest date.
Nowadays, one can get a visa appointment within 10days. But have you asked someone in india to pay Rs.4600 in HDFC bank towards visa appointment? You have to send the first 2 pages of your passport (scan & email or fax) so that someone can carry that to HDFC to fill the application. It takes 2 days to get activated in the system. THEN ONLY, you can go online and provide all the details, look for dates available. Once you select the option of "citizen of india, but working in US" it opens up option to chose from any of the 4 consulates.
Most important thing is YOU MUST carry the original HDFC bank receipt (yellow colour) alongwith your appointment letter (downloaded) and passport.
Make sure that YOU WILL take the print out of the application (2 sides of the same page). Yes even in delhi also, you can take your passport personally on the next day at VFS office (somewhere in delhi). but to do so, you MUST present the pink copy of the HDFC receipt

USCIS systems that the generic CS rep sees or the CLAIMS3 systems that the IO sees doesn't have any info about AC21 docs that you sent them.
Like someone suggested it is a very good idea to keep the original attorney (might not happen in all cases such as when your other company is a direct competitor. Depends on the lawyer). I did the same did not have to pay anything to my attorney to maintain my file.
I sent my AC21 docs to NSC against the advise of my attorney (I surmised that that I would waste time and money if USCIS ever sends a EVL RFE). I think that was a good decision as I got the I-485 approved soon.
Also I see from the FOIA request that I made, that the AC21 docs that I sent were indeed in my file when the decision on my file was made.

Thank you for all your support. Quick update. Our video now has 1439 viewings, 132 ratings and 38 comments (as at 4:15pm EDT 7/9). This has resulted in us having the #32 top rated video of the week in News and Politics. Your support has been wonderful and thank you for your positive comments.
We have looked at a large number of the other videos in the competition and we certainly have a much higher rating and viewings than any of the videos other than the ones posted in the first week of the competition. Sadly we dont want to monitor them as every time we check their score it rates as another viewing for them :p
We remain hopeful that our moderate position on a difficult topic may give us an edge but who knows. My son is dying to pose a supplementary to the video question about the byzantine process we all have to endure.
Will keep you updated.

Thank you, guys! It is not clear whether Statistics is a STEM major, but I think it is reasonable that it is, since Statistics is a branh of Math. Some universities have Statistics departments and others have Statistics as a concentration in a Math graduate program.

While leaving India is there any place we can declare saying this gold we are taking out of india.
This way when we enter back in india , we can show evidence that the gold was purchased in india itself and no hassels from customs.

My question is; Why do you really want to bring your jwellery here? Why not keep in some safety locker (bank) in India. Is it attractive to walk around with huge gold chains/bangles in the US? Also we have been hearing about burglaries in Indian households becuause of easy access to gold.
Buy gold and keep it in locker in India. Come here with some "duplicate gold" and live free.:D:D:D

As long as your marriage date is prior to your 485 approval date and the dates are current(means your priority date) you can apply for spouse 485.
I am also in the same boat and I am waiting my priority date to be current.

I can share my experience. I had BE + 3 Yr Exp + MS + 1.5 Yr Exp when I filed for GC. My employer filed the labor that was MS + 0 Yr exp. He said we cannot claim 1.5 Yr post MS since it was in house experience. The experience I gained after BS was not eligible so he said the post would go as MS + 0 . We did attach my experience certificate for work after BS (nothing for work experience in the same company) as supplimental qualification.
I know lots of friends working in expedia who were hired from our graduate school and their labor were all MS + 0 in EB2
